Prolotherapy solutions used for your treatment can be adapted
to your individual needs and may include platelet rich plasma
(PRP), human growth hormone, sodium morrhuate, minerals, and/or
other nutrients.
What is PRP?
In basic terms, Platelet Rich Plasma involves the application
of concentrated platelets, which release growth factors to
stimulate recovery in non-healing injuries. PRP helps the
healing process.
How is PRP
done?
PRP is done just like any other Prolotherapy treatment, except
the solution used for injection is plasma enriched with growth
factors from your own blood.
1. The appropriate amount of blood
is drawn from the patient.
2. The blood is processed by first
dispensing it into a centrifuge collection container.
3. The blood plus mixing agents are
spun in acentrifuge to concentrate plasma growth factors.
4. After drawing PRP into a syringe,
it is used as Prolotherapy solution for injection.
